The Italian Testudo hermanni hermanni eggs from 9/23 have begun to hatch, here is the first one that is out of the egg. I purposely incubated this clutch of eggs at a temperature that stayed between 88 and 91 degrees to produce females and this first individual has perfect scutes. The others should be out of their eggs soon.

Here she is:

Here are some of the others that hatched a few months ago for color comparison:

Thank you:cool:
She's already starting to straigten out but it could take weeks as in some hatchlings.

they are just beautiful, what a wonderful happening to be able to watch them hatch. Congratulations.
Do they all have the yolk sack area or belly button? Or are some already sealed? How long does it take for them to seal?
Again Congrats

They are just so sweet and adorable. Who can not look at one hatching or recently hatched and not feel humbled and awed by it. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
