I have two African sulcatas, I purchased a substrate but it needs about 4 days to ship, what do I do until it comes? Can I put them in the enclosure without a substrate for now? The enclosure is made up of plastic.

Can you get some safe dirt from your yard?

The dirt in my yard has fertilizers in it, the only thing I can get my hands on is sone dry sand, but most people on this forum didn't recommend dry sand as a substrate, can I use some sand just for now? Will that work? My babies are 2 to 3 month old, so I'm afraid it might hurt them

No sand it is far worse than an empty tub. Maybe just a mat or tightly woven rug will suffice till then

I would just go with a thick layer of paper towels. And change them out as needed.
