what causes weeping/watery eyes in sulcata?

That's why they're called the crying tortoise.

It sometimes means they're too hot. It's sometimes due to allergy, but most of the time it's normal.

I heard they cry to get dust/dirt out of their eyes. ( @Tom I learned that from a different website so just checking in with you if it is correct.) 😉
That is one reason. Mine often have watery eyes when they come out of their dirt burrows, but sometimes their eyes water for no apparent reason too.

I don't know much about sulcatas. I was just wondering if they are born with watery eyes or if it developed as they grew. Like, if yours just suddenly started looking watery to you.
