Love my Russian Chester! The only problem is that I live in Florida, it is very humid like 60%-80%. what kind of tortoise like my Russian, not too big, VEGETARIAN, good personality, and can take higher humidity. Thanks

But he said VEGETARIAN, so doesn't that rule out red foots and cherry heads?

The small amount of protein a red-footed tortoise needs could be handled in several ways, depending on the OPs beliefs and needs.

Personally, I would usually vote that the second pet be the same species as the first. You already have the stuff and skills. Unless there are conflicts for whatever reason you will generally get more interesting behaviors, etc.

Redfoots can get their animal protein in stuff like Zoomed pellets or crickets. Pinkies are entirely optional.

If that's not your style for whatever reason, a Greek or Hermann's are also fantastic.
