I see you posted this several times, don't worry, you'll get your answer. Just one post is necessary. ;)

New user. In all likelihood, they did not see their post and kept trying. The whole first five posts thing you know.

My apologies! I am a newbie and mobile. This app is a little confusing to me.

Hello and welcome to the TFO from AZ
It looks like my Herrmanns and if I'm right you'll have fun once it finds you as the food god

Thanks for the info. I'm in the Los Angeles area.

Any idea on an approximate age? I was told 4-6 months, however, I was also told he was a greek by one person and a russian by another. So they apparently did not know much.

Your beautiful tortoise, I know for sure, yay for me, is not a Russian.
Maybe you can take a picture of the plastron (the underside), sometimes that helps the experts to be sure for you.
Love that little face, and the shell is lovely. : )

Age is tricky as growth is determined by many factors, my guess would be 2.5-4 years. Just an educated guess by the scute size. To get a better idea what is the scl (straight carpace length)?

Also if you have it on the bark bedding as shown in two of you pics you need to get rid of it. I used a layer of half an inch of eco-earth with cypress mulch on top. There are other options as well if you search the Hermann's section for bedding and substrate topics. The red bark doesn't hold moisture that well.

Definitely a Hermann, I think an eastern Hermann. He is an adult, or close to it. I'd guess at least 5 years old.
