I saw this in the creek behind my house.

He's walking aorund in the water.

Looks fun!.:D

It looks like a melanistic male Red-eared slider, Trachemys scripta elegans, to me. :)

Mud turtle. We have them like crazy in our creek and cattle tank.

no way its a res , look at the scute pattern, and light shell ,and wheres his red ears??
i think it's a mud turtle

If that is a mud turtle I will EAT my pet mud turtle.

Males often change color drastically as they age.

Where are the red ears on this one?

The original posted turtle is a very OLD male RES. I have no doubt what so ever.
