Hey forum! I was just curious about what other reptiles some members on her may currently keep/ used to keep. Although the tortoise may be my favorite animal on earth my caiman is a close second. I’ve really been enjoying this forum and love seeing pictures/ backstorys behind everyone’s animals! Please post pictures and show off what else you got!

My Dwarf Caiman, Chompy ☺️
What makes him a dwarf? How big will he get? If I ever lived in a southern state with alligators or caiman I would have either one.
He's pretty darn cute.
I have a uromastyx and have had bearded dragons and veiled chameleons.
Sorry I don't have any pics available.

Is it true the chameleons don't like to be handled? Do you handle yours?
It's true.
It really stresses them out.
They also should not be in high human traffic areas or ever able to see each other.
They also bite. (VEILEDS)
A lot of health issues can be eliminated by letting them live stress free

Wow! I wouldn't want to be bitten by him!

Just a month ago I got my first reptile other than my tortoise. I have a 5 week old blue tongue skink that I call Thistle. I have told her to identify as female just because I feel like she is. Of course, as she gets older she will choose her own gender, and hopefully let me know.

Anyway, I'm having lots of fun with her, and she is getting more tame each day.

"Did you say 'take a bath'??"

I had a big Male Veiled Chameleon. I was unboxing him. The bite drew blood. I wore thick gloves after that lol

it’s the 2nd smallest crocodilian species. He’ll get to be 4-6 ft long. There’s 2 types of “dwarf caiman” but IMO there’s nothing dwarf about them as adults.

Okay that's what I thought. Not really a dwarf in your or my opinion. But a dwarf compared to the others.

The trick is to NOT yank your hand away, trying to get it out of the Chameleons mouth. You can easily hurt it.
Just continue on with what you need to do with him grinding on your hand.
Eventually they'll let go.
