Hi guys!

Ezra is FINALLY starting to settle in, I got him eating today. I would like to grow edible flowers and plants for him; english daisy, cornflower, dandilion, and California poppy. I need a soil which is safe to have in his enclosure in a pot. I have found a source of earthworm casting. Is this safe to have in a redfoot tortoise enclosure? Or does anyone have a brand of organic, chemical and fertilizer free dirt which can be acquired in Canada? Just an FYI on the food, he did NOT eat the whole strawberry, he just nibbled on it. I used it mushed to entice him to eat some spring mix leaves.

As long as the tortoise doesn't have access to it, you can use just about any soil. Fertilizer is not only fine, it is necessary to grow plants. Just don't let the tortoise eat the fertilizer itself.
