What subspecies is my tortoise?

I was wondering what subspecies my Greek tortoise is? Don't mind the purple on the shell, he was a rescue and belonged to a family with young children, who painted his shell with something and I've never been able to get it off, lol. Thank you!

It’s a Testudo graeca terrestris, known as the Mesopotamian tortoise.
