Hi guys, I'm so glad I found this forum. Is this thread still alive? I'm new here. Just a Leopard tortoise about a month now. I'm curious, since u guys are from Malaysia, what do u guys usually feed ur tort? I've been feeding it kailan and Choi sum. I read that Choi sum is not good due to the oxalic acid or some sort. It doesn't like grass. It loves the Choi sum. Mine won't even touch Hibiscus leaves. Just this morning my tortoise had constipation. Had to use tweezers to get the poop out from its butthole. But he's walking around actively and his eyes are bright.

Hello, and welcome to the Forum.:)
Yes, old thread, I'm afraid, Angel's not posted for more than a year, but you may have more luck if you start your own thread in introductions or Leopard Tortoises. :)

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

If the tortoise has very hard poop it may mean he's dehydrated. Try soaking him in warm water daily, and feed him foods with more water content.

Thanks for the advice! However, how come I come across certain website stating it's not suitable to feed leopards cucumbers?and mine doesn't like grass. So choosy. My leopard loves vege a lot. So what kind of vege should I give daily? So far it's pooping fine except for that one time. Now, the poop is soft and a bit watery in dark green. Mine seems to love cactus pads a lot. Can it eats that everyday? Currently I cut those into small bits and add into its vege mix everyday. Its only in small amount, like the size of a thumb.

As you are finding out , cactus pads fed to often also have a laxative effect !
