Today I went and got some fish to go in the tank with Cooter. Figured this would help keep the tank cleaner. I got two algee eaters and two shark bottom feeders. Well, now Cooter is chasing the fish!

I definitely prefer external canister filters. They are so flexible and you can change the media inside to whatever works best for you. Here's a great article on this topic I found. BEST CANISTER FILTERS
