The Fifth one On the last batch of pics is a type of plantain I think it’s ribwort plantain, my tort eats that a LOT
I appreciate you taking a look at it for me. The ones that you were able to identify, are they okay to feed off and on?I’m really not good with plantain but I don’t think so.
Five might be a narrow leaf or other plantain but again, I don’t see much of any kind here; we don’t have many watered lawns.
Thankyou guys!!!1 some kind of chicory or similar. Should be safe.
2. Looks like it may be a young buttercup. No feed
3. Not sure. Not a plantain though. Perhaps in the horseweed family?
4 cinquefoil or barren strawberry. Feed in moderation.
5. The upper large leaf makes me think of a type of horseweed again. the lower, I'm not sure
Thankyou, sorry about it being cut. I really appreciate the help.If it’s horseweed your tortoise probably won’t eat it but it is edible.
I can’t identify it one way or the other; too much missing.
Thankyou, sorry about it being cut. I really appreciate the help.
Thanks Vlad!! If I remember right from your post, those are safe to eat.I *think* that's wild violet - I posted a few pics in my plant thread of that
Sounds good to me, I think I've been irritating Sheldon. He keeps going for the front yard and I keep picking him up before he gets there. He will be pleasantly surprised the next time we are over there.Yep Vlad has been chowing down on them since he got the ok [emoji16]
It's a lovely colored violet.I have been keeping Sheldon out of my parents front yard because I don't know what this is. I also just wanted to take a second to thank everyone who has been responding to help me.View attachment 238815
Haha it's funny how they pick a direction and get set on achieving their destination [emoji23]Sounds good to me, I think I've been irritating Sheldon. He keeps going for the front yard and I keep picking him up before he gets there. He will be pleasantly surprised the next time we are over there.
Thank you, I did find some that were very similar and purple. The one that I took a picture of is everywhere in their front yard. It's a lovely colored violet.
I recently found some wild violets in my yard thats leaves were purple.
So true!! Sheldon has a one-track mind. I could pick him up from where he is and bring him halfway around the yard, and he turns around and starts heading back in the same direction.Haha it's funny how they pick a direction and get set on achieving their destination [emoji23]
No, I think it may be burclover or hop clover. Is this chickweed?View attachment 239380
