I've noticed the last 2-3 times my sulcata has this protruding when soaking? What does this mean? Anything to worry about? He'll be 2 years old this month and weighs just over 3,000 grams.

I think your sulcata is a growing little boy and he shows that he likes to bath in the warm water ...... He is totally relaxed.

Hard to see, but I'm going to safely assume you have a boy, and he's showing you that he is a boy.
I thought from what I read on here they usually do that at 12-15 inches? I hope that's all it is. That would be great.

Thank you both. Very relieved to hear this. I thought he was too small to start doing that.

Well, from what I have always seen and from my own leopards, two years give or take a few months seems to be the time for a lot of them to flash. That does not mean they are ready to breed.

Honestly, I think its fairly common for them to start flashing anytime they are 8"+. Occasionally, a little smaller than that.
