I like using Coco Coir and am wandering if anyone knows of great deals for it. I am running about 4 enclosures that use it as a base with Cypress mulch on top of it.

3 bricks for 8.881 on on Amazon of teh bed A Beast. http://amzn.com/B0010OSIHW (4.1pds)

1 10lb brick for 20.00 http://amzn.com/B00U6CDJV4

Does anyone else buy a lot of this stuff?
The 10 pound brick is a concern to me only because under the questions section it says it is not safe for reptiles. I'm not sure if that is true or not.

I have bought someone before, can't remember who, but they sold it for the purpose of worm farming too. It's usually cheaper then if you look for it for reptiles or from any reptile store.
I also search eBay and Amazon.

I have asked why they would answer that way. Its not the owner so just someone on Amazon saying it's not safe. The information from the site looks great. http://www.greentexanfarms.com/#!coconut-coir/ckl3 At $20 for a 10 lb brick I am going to try one and then if I like it may buy from the actual site in bulk.

I buy it in big blocks at my local garden centers. I paid $12 and it was enough to fill two 100 gallon tanks and a 135 gallon tank with a whole bunch left over. I don't know what it weighed, but was all compressed like the expensive little bricks, but it was the size of small suitcase. It was heavy.

Check at a hydroponics store if you have one near by. They should have a few good and relativley cheap options along with some other miscellaneous but useful stuff that can be used for tortoises.
