I have recently been taking care of some tortoises and my brain is boggled trying to keep them straight. The owner told me what they are, but one of them seems like it might be something else. Maybe someone here can help.
1. Russian Tortoise 3-5yrs old, M, Hercules
2. Russian Tortoise, 3-5yrs old, F, Hailey
3. Hermann's Tortoise, 3-5yrs old, F, Hermman
4. Greek Tortoise, 3-5 yrs old, William/Zeus
5. Greek Tortoise, 3-5 yrs old, Zena

The two that are labelled "Russians" look a lot different to me.
Can anyone help to sort out these guys and gals?

I think 1, 2 and 5 are steppe tortoises. 3 is the Hermann's and 4 is the greek.

As I said on Chris's thread, I think that #3 is a bit on the thin side. When I'm trying to add weight to a tortoise, I offer him manufactured diet. My choice is Mazuri Tortoise Diet. To this I'll also include zucchini, yellow squash, banana squash, grated carrots, and leaves from outside - grape leaves, mullberry leaves, etc.

#1 & 2-Russian (Steppe) tortoises, Testudo horsfieldi
#3-Hermann's, looks to be an Eastern, Testudo hermanni boettgeri
#4-Ibera Greek, Testudo (gracea) ibera
#5-Based on the photo, looks to be a Middle Eastern Greek subspecies to me, Testudo gracea ssp.. Better photos of #5 would tell for sure
