White lines on Red Foot tortoise

In the past few days, my Red Foot has developed white lines on his shell. I recently acquired him from a friend who was neglecting him. My friend kept him in a fish tank, and I built a larger enclosure for him (I think he's full grown). However, this enclosure is less humid than the fish tank he was in. Are these white lines due to the humidity difference? I've included photos for reference

Yep, just growth lines, as far as I can see.
