So I am curious to see who is hoarding the biggest collection of tortoises and turtles. Also other animals can be included as you are probably a HUGE animal lover, and just love them all.

So for me currently, I have just a bunch of adult leopard tortoises, 1 russian away on loan, 19 sulcata hatchlings, 1 greek, a bunch of sliders... so not so much.

Who has 100+ animals??????

Thanks everyone!!

Please put in the following format for reading ease...
For me:

Total # of Animals: 31
City: Los Angeles, California
Most favorite Animal: Galapagos Tortoise

I may have a lot of animals, but I do not consider myself a hoarder. So not me! :p :D

I have well over 100 possibly 200. Need to count. Numbers dont play an importance to me, as long the animals kept our meeting my exemplary standard of care that suits best for the animals needs. But nowhere near a hoarder. Hoarding is a clinical illness in which mental incompatibilities of a certain history or past memory are transferred into collecting materials, and sometimes animals. I'm in it for conservation and rescue purposes and the love of the animals. Not anywhere close to having a rough past or mental blockage that constitutes the reasoning for my collection or relinquishment animals to labeled hoarding.

Oh and I have no idea which one is my favorite. Hard to say. Probably mountains are way up there on my list. They are awesome.

Where do I start:
19 sulcatas, 25 baby sulcatas, 50 chameleons, 2 desert tortoises, 1 box turtle, 60 bearded dragons, 31 snakes, 12 crested geckos, 12 leopard geckos, a few invertebrates, 1 dog, 6 frogs, there are probably a few more that I forgot.
Welcome to my zoo...

At the peak of when I bred Testudo species in my late teenage years, I would have hundreds at any given time due to the hatchlings. I also kept a lot (a lot) of snapping (and other) turtles, which were also exceedingly prolific breeders. Right now, I have just under thirty tortoises and only a few turtles. I will likely cut the number of tortoises down to around 9-15 as I streamline my projects further and certain things mature. I do not really enjoy having this many compared to when I am focusing more on a fewer number of key animals.
