I have three females living with a very, very old male full time.
All the females are appx. the same size, but this one is the largest of the three.
First time for her to nest and lay eggs.

It's 58F here right now, and the sun has set.
The light is just to make sure she stays warm enough to finish what she's started.

We have four full size males, each in his own yard, and three full sized females who live in the backyard together with a greenhouse. Then, living with them full time, is a very old male.
There's life in the old tort yet!

So dad is the old male? Just curious how old is "very old"... ?
I don't know. He came from someone who turned him into one of the SoCal chapters of CTTC, or maybe it was the San Diego T & T club, and came with no information. The sun just came out making me want to be outside, so I'll go get his picture for you. BRB

Oh man, that sun felt SO good! We've had about a week's worth of grey, overcast days and no sun. If I had to live like that I'd have SAD for sure!

Anyway, you can see what I mean by OLD. The growth lines on his scutes are worn completely smooth. He's next to one of the females who is just coming of age.

I should have wet them down to show off their pretty pattern.

I wonder if he is one of Baudy's original WC imports

This same female nested again last night in the exact same place as the first nest. I haven't dug into the nest yet. Waiting for the fog to lift and the sun to come out (I'm afraid of the cold!!).
