Why is my MVB Bulb making a humming sound

Hi all. After reading so many recommendations for using a MVB for my little ones, I recently switched both of my guy's lights (an EBT & a Russian) from a Zoo Med Dual Deep Dome Combo.

I purchased Solar Glo 80w MVB for my EBT, and a Solar Glo 125w MVB for my Russian. The transition for the EBT was seamless, but not the case for my Russian.

The first 125w I purchased lasted less than 12 hours. I took it back to Petsmart and exchanged it for another 125w. I've had the replacement bulb for 2 days now, and I have had no problems with it cycling on & off at all. BUT....the new 125w bulb is making a buzzing/humming sound. The 80w is perfectly quiet. Is this normal for MVB? It's kind of driving me nuts.

There is an electronic transformer (ballast) in the MVB.
Is your "deep dome combo" comparable with a 125 watt MVB?
If so, the humming isn't dangerous, but probably means the bulb is malfunctioning.
But you may have issues with the fixture itself.
I personally do not use those horrible, unreliable MVB or the dual domes.
I'd stop bleeding good money and get a CHE and a T5 Tube florescent UVB.

The mini was not rated for more than 100w, so I purchased new fixtures when I replaced the bulbs as well. The new one is a single dome (in the pic).
