Zippy is in the house today but when I was out on the farm tending other animals I found an Eastern Box Turtle had taken over Zippy's place.

I can redirect this wild turtle. I imagine he got in and didn't know how to get out. I'll just set him outside of it and a little way away from it. I have these wild ones all over the farm so I'm sure he/she will find it's way around. (Mental note - build higher walls for Zippy.)

My question is regarding health. Can I use this for Zippy or do you think there is a chance the wild turtle was carrying germs? Should I take out the entire layer of substrate, as far down as this wild one has burrowed, and replace it with clean new substrate?
