Wild strawberry leaves edible?

I have a million wild strawberry plants growing in my garden. Are they safe to give to a tortoise to eat or should I not ?

You can feed them just not as a daily staple. Your tort also may not like them mine at least gave it the tort stare, took a nibble, looked at me, and stomped away lol.

Mine pretty much ignores them. A couple of bites in the fall.

my russian will nibble a bit but not a fan, as there are much tastier things around, but when comes the spring - they love the variety of wild grasses.

Sulcatas should not have fruit and can’t process the sugars but people do it anyway sparingly so it’s up to you.

I think the key word in here is “occasional”. I wouldnt go out and purchase a pint of sugary strawberries and feed to our Sully. But, honestly, i know there are a few wild strawberries that grow along the edge of the outdoor perimeter. I’m sure our Sully nibbles on the leaves and the occasional strawberry. Mind you these strawberries are pretty miniscule, not like berries bred for human consumption.
