Will my baby Herman be okay?

Hey guys so I just got my baby Hermann today.

I got called into work So I didn't get to setup the UVB light .

All I have running now is a desk lamp.

Will he be okay when I get home? I'm worried..

Don't worry about not getting the UVB light setup. Tortoises store UV in their fat cells and can go a lengthy time without it before anything serious happens.

He should be fine today until you can set him up. As long as your temps are ok. One day like this should be fine.

They can go weeks with no UV. Don't worry about that.

The heat is the main thing. What is the temperature under your desk lamp? Did you soak your baby? Where did you end up getting it from?

The lamp light temp was 75 degrees where I had my thermomentor at.

Yes I soaked him while I was getting ready for work & I got him from tortoise supply.

I'm going to setup the heat/uvb tonight.

I meant I have to setup the stand for it because I don't have a screen lid.

You are off to a good start there. You need a humid hide and you need to hand pack the substrate down.

I haven't taken an updated pic since yesteday . But I got some sphagnulus moss? & I put it in the enclosure also.

I also have a log house for it.
