Hey guys, I recently came across this forum and thought that this would be a good place to ask:

I've had a RF for about two years. I took her in a pet store deemed her unsalable due to pyramiding. She eats everything I put in front of her except worms/crickets/ etc. I try sneaking meal worms with her food but she always find a way to eat around them or avoid them. To counter this I've always tried to give her tortoise foods that are high in protein. So my question is am I doing the right thing with trying to add protein? Will she be OK without meal worms? Or is there a way to get her to eat them?

Tortoise food for forest torts is fine. You can also add mushrooms. Meal worms are not the best stuff anyway. Try a nightcrawler.

If he has pyramiding, check the humidity. RF's need high humidity. That may be causing the problem.
