These 2018 babies were produced by our Macedonian eastern Hermann's tortoises (Testudo hermanni boettgeri). The adults are all a stunning, bright yellow color with little to no black at all. They are an amazing group to say the least. These are extremely cold tolerant animals which spend their entire lives outdoors here in southern NJ, year round.

The babies are 6 to 8 weeks old, feeding on a variety of weeds (dandelion, clover, vetch, catsear, thistle, partridge pea and plantains), hibiscus flowers & leaves, mazuri and spring mix as well as squashes.

*Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that they will be as yellow as the parents since this not a morph but instead is a naturally occurring trait. The parents are pictured in the link below so you can see what these babies come from. Yes, they are rather light colored already out of the egg. IMG_5429_edited-2.jpgmac2.jpg

You can also read more about them on our site here:

Price is $200 each plus shipping.
