I recently found this turtle in my yard so I did some research and discovered that it could either be a redfoot or yellowfoot tortoise. Can someone please tell me which one it is or if it’s a different kind?5D1FF0E4-D89A-4550-8B19-9F10756DCE65.jpeg37718328-D67C-430A-9ADA-F1316B18BEEE.jpeg9F3A747A-3B4F-49EB-AD66-7BA3BA2A8B74.jpeg

Redfoot. Yellowfoot doesn't have that little spot right above the nose below the two larger spots, and the red foot has fragmented scales above the nostrils, like your picture.

Thank you for replying! Also do you know if the tortoise is a male or female?

Hard for me to tell, but I'm thinking female.

Comparing to the pointers from this thread

It might have a nasal scale, but it looks small, so I want to bring some attention to its plastron.
Its gular scutes are located further than its first marginal scute.
The center of its pectoral scute is pretty wide.
Its inguinal scute are small.
Its anal scutes are pretty narrow.

Based on its plastron scutes, it looks more like a yellow foot to me.
