Young Bolivian .. ground hatched..

He came from a breeder friend that produces "True" Bolivian locale .. reported found in 2016 among his adults = ground incubated.. most likely male ???

First - here he is among my young adults with his head in their chopped collards -



I pulled him out of that.. to get a few pics. We never know what colors we are going to get.. but they almost without exception have color covering their heads!





He even has 'collards' stuck on his underside... notice dark developing/covering his plastron -

You would think I never feed them -



Larger ones are at least 10 years old.. and only 11" SCL -- just now becoming "mature" - right front has laid 3 eggs this summer.. still very young!

Have been able to acquire the "best" from breeder friend.. late 2016 ~ early 2018
