Two don't have much color yet. They are a little over two years.

Charlie they are beautiful. I think they may have some gulf coast (major) genetics along with the Florida genetics. What area are the parents from? I'm beyond curious :)

They are captive bred and originated from the Florida pan handle. I can try to find out more background.

Depending on where their origin is on the panhandle they definitely should have some gulf coast genetics along with the Florida ImageUploadedByTortForum1378328005.737602.jpg

I just found out that the father is a gulf coast and the mother a florida x gulf coast. The two lighter colored ones with plain heads may be golf coasts.

So my suspicions were correct. That confirms that I'm a total nerd when it comes to box turtles lol. I guess the 2 decades of analyzing pictures and localities is paying off lol.

They are beautiful. One of my favorite things ever is young healthy CB box turtles. Job well done

I've only had them for two weeks. I thought they were entirely florida box turtles. I'm OK with them having some gulf coast or in this case lots if gulf coast in them but wouldn't begin to know what to breed them to down the road. Two are mine and one is a friends. I'm obeying the Florida law. Lol!
