I just bought a beautiful well started redfoot from Southern Reptiles. Ryan was such a great communicator and answered all my questions about caring for a hatchling. I’d definitely recommend this breeder!
We have had our tortoise (Hermann) around 6 weeks. She isn't very active.. not eating 2 bits and sleeps all the time. We are worried there's something wrong. Is there something we are not doing.. etc.
We lost a 13 year old tortoise last year .. he didn't come out of hibernation.. which was so sad .. we don't want anything to happen to this baby xx

my Sulcata, Max is 125 lbs, the other day he was in his underground house and I hear a scream/loud noise, I looked inside and he made that same sound again, it was loud... Any idea what is happening. I have heard him when he is on his lady friend, a concrete statue, it's not the same noise..

I have a Russian tortoise named IvantheGreat (all one word). He was found on our dirt road by my neighbor. I have built an enclosure for inside our tv room right under a bright sunny window. It is about 4 ft long by 2.5 ft wide and high enough he can't climb out. He loves yellow bell peppers, Kale and spring mix. His shell is rough. Do I need to wash it with a soft toothbrush? do I need to oil it? With what?
Nice to meet you! I just got my baby sulcata exactly 3 days ago. So I'm still a little bit confused about what requirement should I buy for my baby sulcata...
Now I'm looking for a lamp for my sulcata, should I get a UVA or UVB lamp? or even both? and what number of watt do you prefer?
