Hi Everyone, So today I caught our 100 lb sulcata eating the door curtain to his house! We’ve had him 3 years and the floor mat I used to make his door curtain has been in place nearly this whole time. Luckily I spotted him before he swallowed the big piece he had in his mouth and got it away from him. Obviously I am removing this material and replacing it. A freezer curtain plastic is what I am looking at. Has anyone had their tortoise do something like this? This curtain is heavy enough that it hangs straight down and thick enough to offer some insulation, and has worked great until now!

I haven't had it happen but I don't have a sulcata lol.
I haven't seen it ever reported on here either. I do know most people do use a clear plastic like the freezer door plastic you mentioned. Maybe being clear will help.

It’s arriving tomorrow. Thanks!
That should solve your problem.

I have seen sulcatas try to eat carpet type materials, so it will be good to get rid of that old stuff. I've never seen one try to eat the clear vinyl.
