pallet collars.jpg

outdoor pen made from pallet collars stolen from work
Mexican heather (Floriglory), chamomile, peppermint, cone flower, asparagus fern, mini roses
Peppermint is marked as unsafe at Tortoise Table (but Spearmint is safe) . I don't know if it's actually harmful to tortoises, though.

Is it a small pool between concrete plates?

Your right. Tortois table uk says peppermint bad.
I'll yank it out and put in daisies instead

If there is no "self-soaking" station maybe you can find a place for one? Just a large shallow terracotta saucer.

The enclosure is overall well made (I wish I had your DIY skills :) ). Does it get sunlight through the day?

No skill was really needed. Pallet collars are ready-made items (boards hinged together) used for making shipping crates of any height. You simply stack them to get the height you want. Was easy to make an outdoor pen (or raised bed) from.
