Thanks everyone for the advice and help while I was caring for this tortoise! I did find his owners last Friday after they saw one of the Facebook posts I had out. It was fun having a tortoise for awhile and may be a pet for me to consider in the future!
Thanks Jbrez. I may be able to care for it but would probably need some assistance getting something set up. Right now I have it in a dog kennel. Not sure what I would use or build for something that get's so big.
Good idea, I'll be doing that! If no one claims it to you have any interest in it? I think turtles and tortoises are sweet and would keep it if it stayed small but I'm not sure it would fly with the other half considering it gets 100+ pounds and needs a very large indoor enclosure.
Thanks for the advice everyone. I have lost and found ads out on Craigslist so far. I tossed some more fresh dandelion leaves and grass clippings in although it doesn't seem interested in eating. I will need to figure something out for water as well as a large enclosure and some sort of heat...
