The vet is actually going to contact them on my behalf. Apparently they most likely used a general antibiotic to attack many infection types, but it wasn't the one he needed.

they ended up having to open it and drain it. they took some stool samples and took some of the drainage from the abscess, and are running a culture of it to see what kind of bacteria it produces. then we will get an antibiotic in a follow up visit. he is coming home today though.
Welp, he's got an abcess. Got some medication. Gonna get everything on him tested. Vet was very happy with the enclosure setup. Been doing everything correctly according to them. The visit did cost $500 but hey, I gotta do what I gotta do to keep my lil buddy around.

I'm not sure where it was other than the neck. I don't know many details. I believe a vet removed it that was hired by the store that sold me the lil guy. Not too sure what caused it.
The enclosure has better lighting, more access to water, been feeding him with more of a variety, and I've been managing more consistent Temps/humidity. posting a picture of him once I have better lighting.
