Mine is so smooth on the bottom and just getting that darker hour glass look. I have wondered if he was older than we thought but still 6 months or less perhaps??
I don’t know what that means cuz mine has gotten thick before. He is going thru it now and his feet and head are very thick. Could it be what is needed for a growth spurt?

I can certainly see why Sucata’s are so popular.My best friend got one and she loves her Pauly so much. He was so tiny when she got him and is still likely 2.5-3 once’s. I got a different species because I lacked the facilities to give a Sucata the life one needs and deserves.

sounds like you and your dad have done a lot for Clover for 3 years. I am not a Sucata mom but the ones I have met seem friendly and sweet to me. Florida USA is a popular place for these big guys. Good luck!!!
This pic reminds me of what I saw yesterday on the rear chute of my 4 month Red footed named Flash except he is not missing a chute. There was a tiny split down the middle of that chute. Will try to get a pic since I do not know enuff about tort anatomy to even know if it is abnormal.
