Sorry, flipped over you will NEVER see the tail... And no she(If that's what she is) certainly does not... Usually the tail is retracted inside the shell, it is VERY rare to see her(again if that's what she is) tail at all.
Let me try. My leo really loves his half log though.[hr]
I just tried snapping a pic of my tort walking and the tail did not leave the shell. Now that I think about it I never see the tail on a daily basis. Is this because it's so short?
Alrighty I know he or she's not big enough to tell to any definite end but Neal suggested we play the guessing game. Are we looking at a Mr. or Ms.? I couldn't get a good shot of the tail I guess he was afraid I was going to yank it off or something! It's pretty darn short you can't even see...
Thanks everyone! The spotted skin is what threw me off. But hey I'm still pretty new to torts give me a break! lol

Also, about how much longer until we can pretty accurately guess gender?
Hey everyone!,
I was under the impression my leo was classified as G.p. Babcocki but after reading a recent thread I'm not so sure. Could someone please shed a little on the subject for me?
Thanks ahead of time!
Well I gave up on that idea! lol Thanks everyone but it seems everything in the world I like they stop making. I picked up a big ol bag of cypress mulch at lowes for $1.98!
Thanks for everyones help!

I just found a thread where Tom recommended Garden Bark Pathway Bark. It looks perfect but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone knows where I could purchase some I would be forever grateful.
Thanks again!

Hey everyone,
I can't get the substrate I used to use anymore does anyone have any recommendations? I'm going to lowes later, is there anything you guys use there?
As always thanks for all your help,
Bronson
