I ordered a hatchling Leopard from TortoiseSuppy.com and received him on April 20, 2022, healthy and active. He is my only reptile; I also keep a 55 gallon live vivarium stocked with a communal of assorted inverts.
The movie Alien is a favorite of mine: I have an orange cat named Jonesy inspired from the film and my tortoise has been dubbed Bishop after an additional character.
I've started a Google Photos album of our new adventure together; akin to a journal as I stick in text also. So far it includes from the order confirmation through enclosure set-up, temp gun readings, next day unboxing and how things are progressing. It's cooler than it sounds. When I get all of today's pictures uploaded I plan on sharing a link here.
If you're reading my bio because you have advice for me based on posts or comments, please know I am always open for dialogue on better care, suggestions, reviews and the like. I never want my own ignorance to damage any critter under my care. I strive very hard to be an engaged, patient listener who works to stay up with current pet husbandry. Pyramiding keeps me up at night.
Otherwise, I enjoy spelunking in the woods in my Wrangler; I love book recommendations; macro photography; creating natural enclosures and terrariums of which I cultivate many types of mosses; I play World of Warcraft and dig table top gaming.
