I didn't buy the tort, it was a gift. The second one was given as a replacement for the first and again I did not purchase it. Had I know how important is where you buy a tortoise from I would have made sure they made a better choice. Hindsight is 2020.

You may be right. I think I will get a thermostat to control temp. I am still not sure how to deal with the calcium and vitamin d if they won't eat calcium mixed with the food. I was worried that it was too cool and may have gone to far the other direction. Thank you for your help.
