    Help my eggs

Hello there. I have some red foot eggs. On a day 101 in the incubator. Couple of them have a little ooze coming out. Sounds like they may not be viable? Luckily some eggs aren’t oozing.

Thanks for the info. Always looking for ideas. I wound up putting a Kane on one of the walls, and a Sweeter Heater Radiant Heat panel on the lid/ceiling of their house. Few inches of cypress mulch on the floor. Live in Houston but we got down to 41 degrees last night. Tort house held temp...

    Tortoise safe pesticides

Thanks for the reply. Someone suggested diachotamus earth and cintronella rings. Here’s the enclosure. Adding plants, more grass, etc… as I go. Thanks!

    Tortoise safe pesticides

Hello there - wanted to see if anyone had a tortoise safe pesticide to recommend? My outdoor Redfoot enclosure is 400 square feet open air, but has the normal pests of mosquitoes, chiggers, and swarming small biting insects both for torts and me. Neem oil? Anyone have any go to pest...

    Outdoor heating.

Hello all. Question for outdoor dog house heating for my Red Foots. I’m looking at a dog house heater, but it’s forced air by a fan. Do you think the noise will discourage them from going into the house. Does noise like that bother tortoises? Appreciate any wisdom. Thanks! Doug
