So a couple of weeks ago my torts went the vets had an X-ray and was induced and layer several eggs. The week after she did not eat and was still digging with back legs. I hoped this was just habit after laying.
Moving on a few weeks she is back active and eating again though seems constipated...
Yep lighting and substrate first. The larger enclosure will be the challenge. It’s in my office. Thinking smaller desk more room for bigger enclosure…. To be continued
Well she went to vets, had an X-ray, an injection and a long soak and here we have it. Can’t quite believe it. No wonder she was so out of sorts. Can’t thank you all enough for your advice 👏👏👏👏
Thanks everyone for the information. She is female and 5 years old and I love her to bits. I will start to change substrate, lamps and try work out where and how I can get her a bigger enclosure. For now though I'm more concerned regarding these eggs. She certainly is more brighter than...
She has an open table like this with tortoise sand from pet shop. Not sure on humidity. She hates the heat lamp. If I take her in garden with me when sunny she avoids that and goes and hides in shade.
Sorry about the pictures. My Herman tortoise has been out of sorts lately and not eating so I’ve been bathing her more to hopefully get water in her. Tonight she passed a lot of strange stuff and something that looks like a mushroom not sure what it is. Should I be worried?
