Coconut fiber and aspen mixed together and moistened....works for the tortoises and the hermit crabs....which are housed together over a yr now:))

I figure in the wild the tortoise would have access to greens and food all the time. It would eat whenever it wanted. Particularly tropical forest dwelling jungles full of green food every where.

I keep them with my 3toed box turtles and my red foot. I do put in a small saucer salt water soak for the crabs. I have never had a problem and they forage all the left overs. I also feed them at night as well a few times a week with the supplements relative to them. They are part of the...
