I take it some people take different opinions on how to raise tortoise? As that post says to use spagnum moss?

Thanks very much, I'm going to work on making them a proper humid hide tonight. I read that you can use that moss, but isn't it bad if they eat it?

Should I bring them to the vet? I have a local vet that is supposedly qualified in treating reptiles.

I really thank you for your help. I spoke to the shop I bought them from and I cannot return the tortoise for whatever reason and I cannot build another enclosure at the moment. However, they are both females so I hope that will help? I will go to the shop tomorrow and buy a new substrate...

After watching her today quite a lot I have noticed she is rarely moving but always in the basking area. When I bathe her she takes a while to open her eyes, a few minutes at most. I just weighed her and she weighs 28 grams.

Not all of those plants are readily available in the wild in Ireland but I will try my best to find them all.

I also fed her green bell peppers the other day, Perhaps that is the cause?

Hello, I have attached images of stool from my young russian tortoise, I'm concerned as they are different from previous stools after bathing them.

I've discussed the situation with my dad. We're going to build two enclosures 1.5M x 2M for them but we won't be able to do this for three weeks. Is it a major problem to house them together for the next three weeks?

I gave them both a twenty-minute soak which I will continue to do every day. I'm quite annoyed at the shop that sold these guys to me as they said a ten-minute weekly soak would do. How can they pick money over the health of such beautiful animals?

Yeah, I am an animal person... I have four aquariums and a hamster in my room already if that shows it! I really want to give them the best life possible. The shop did give me a discount on the two which I feel foolish about now... I really appreciate the help guys. :/
