Yea we added a lip the day I wrote this and he hasn’t got out since I’m going to build him something much much deeper shortly as I think he will be able to get out over the lip shortly he’s a sneaky one much sneakier than my previous rescues
Sorry for the late reply I had lost my internet for a while whilst moving Yes this is George I forgot I took that photo yes you can see it there too he’s got the correct lighting etc and eats well and is a very active little boy he’s grown abit since I’ve got him I keep a track of it monthly and...
Hello, George has a terrible habit of thinking he’s some sort of dare devil and the other day he fell around 4ft on to a carpeted floor but managed to get himself wedged between his table top leg and the wall, I was there as he did it so he wasn’t stuck for more than a couple of seconds but I...
Took me two and a half years before I got George after Thomas passed. Didn't honestly think id ever get another at some point but the things happened and I wouldn't be without George now :)
Never mind took him to the vets today as he was already booked for a check up there is nothing wrong with him and the vet was really happy with his all round health i'm such a worry wort :)
I've never had a baby tort but I doubt id use anything I use for George cause id be scared of them falling off everything, Although when I've looked properly I don't even have this dish I have something similar but its much shorter sides think its marketed as a food bowl but its about as deep...
Hello I've had George about a 7 weeks now and he has been fine up until now, I have recently changed his enclosure as the one he was given to me with had begun to rot on the bottom and he seems to not be moving as much, He is eating and pooping fine but the last three days I've begun to hear...
I also wondered about the substrate getting stuck on it when George shows his off do they just absorb it or does it stay on the outside when they tuck it away?
I had more trouble with flipping over in a plant pot dish like what everyone keeps suggesting and not once with these. as long as they are properly sunk into the substrate.
Never had a problem with using these types of dishes. I've had 2 ( broke one on the sink when washing it) I do prefer the stone type one over the resin though just cause there is more grip for their feet
Yea I thought the plastic bit was tall enough and immediately changed it when I saw him he wasn't in it long at all terrifies me how much they like to climb sometimes
