I was born in Whittier CA and when I was 8 months old (1956) my parents bought a house (for about $16,000) in Buena Park where my mother still lives (dad passed in 2001). I moved out at 21 and lived near the beach in Ventura CA for about 11 years. From there it's been Hawaii (twice), Albuquerque NM, Winnipeg Canada, San Rafael Northern CA (believe me, there’s a big difference between northern & southern CA) and briefly Medford OR.

I've been a jock (captain and MVP of my High School varsity baseball team and runner-up for "ATHLETE OF THE YEAR" 9th grade Jr. High). A stoner (still am at times). I've been a biker (I've got 8 tattoos). Currently I work as an Elementary School crossing guard and I coach city youth basketball for the cities of Cypress and Buena Park, ages 8-9 (Buena Park) and10-11 (Cypress).

How's that for a paradox!
