What makes a sulcata decide to lay? It seems like my girls started laying in October last year, but here it is the end of November and they haven't laid. What starts them to lay? Temperature? Rain? Angle of the sun? Food? Date?

Would it be ok to put the eggs in a small container and seal them with saran wrap? Or would that smother the eggs due to lack of oxygen?

Is there anything special I should use to clean the eggs with before incubating? I just rinsed with water
