To the great people of the Tortoise Forum,
My friend has had this tortoise for quite some time now and
he says that it is a Sonoran desert tortoise, while I am saying that
it is a tropical type. Can anyone identify the species?

Hi wonderful people of the tortoise forum ! I have owned a baby cherryhead red foot tortoise for about 6 months. He seems to have white discoloration spots now and I am not sure if they are shell rot or just areas that lack pigment. If anyone could help identify this I would be most grateful...
