Thanks a lot, I've read that (and other guides) a few times. I use vermiculite, I just wasn't sure about the possible "temperature shock" for the eggs.

Hey all, I currently have 3 THH eggs in the incubator and my second female is looking to lay soon. Should I just put the eggs into the running incubator or somehow gradually get them to the incubating temperature?

I live in Europe in the Czech republic. So far they weren't out, the summer last year was terrible. So depending on how the weather this year will be, they may or may not get a few months or at least weeks outside.

What is interesting to me as someone who keeps Elongated. There aren't many care guides about this species, but until this article I never read about them brumating. I know they can tolerate colder nights, but never saw anything specifically mention brumation.
