    UVB and Basking lights.

    Eastern Hermann's, a yearling so probably 2 or 3 inches long. 4'x4' enclosure but with an additional 3'x1.5' floor w/ a ramp leading up to it. Found an excellent UVB chart on Zoomed's website, will probably place light/UVB fixtures about 12" above each of the platforms...

    Do you think a 6"plywood wall would suffice to prevent a hermann's or russian tortoise from climbing out?

I would really like a Western Hermann's, but they're awfully expensive and are apparently more delicate than an Eastern, meaning the ladder would be easier to take care of...
