The first thing I would ask is, do they have a heat source? Is your enclosure humidified on any way? Do you provide fresh water in a shallow dish as well as salt water? Hermit crabs need a lot of specific things to thrive.If they are too cold they may be inactive.

Just a little update from this summer.....the tort you helped ID has just laid two eggs.I guess He is a She.She has not been with a male, so I know they are not fertile.I was just a little shocked by this.Anything in particular I should be doing with her as far as egg laying?
BEAUTIFUL set up and gorgeous torts.Quick question.Do you filter your pond? I would love to put in a nice water feature, and have a larger pond but it's quite deep.I worry that my tort would drown.How do you keep it so clean if you can't empty it everyday?
