My fault my Russian tortoise died due to heat

Over a third of it is in shade, the other gets sun with hardware cloth on top and greenery growing inside. It runs east to west. I have a silver tarp attached to posts at the east end and tie...

    Large habitat

I have a 7 year old red foot named Jay. Moved him outside last year. I live in north Florida. It gets very hot and too cold for him. I constructed a house with heat in the winter and shade for summer. Size is 12’ x 4’. Ceramic heaters have a thermostat to keep it above 82°.

    Out door habitat

I recently build a 12 ft x 4 ft habitat for my 5 year old Redfoot. He was inside prior. I am in Florida and it has been hot. He has covering, water and a grassy, plant area. It can get 95 degrees outside. How warm can they tolerate? Thanks
