    Brumation 1st time??

Yes I moved across the country. Roswell and I went on an epic cross-country drive from NH to AZ. I thought he'd be freaked out by it but he took it in stride.

    Brumation 1st time??

Not really as I am ill prepared, He never has before and nothing has changed with the indoor enclosure he has always been in. So I guess I am just wondering why this year he seems so intent on it.... I appreciate the thread I will read through all this information and warm and brighten him up!

    Brumation 1st time??

So Roswell has been living his best life in the Southwest US now for 6 months. He was my nieces pet before I took him a year ago and I am guessing around ten years old. He has been a primarily indoor pet for most of his life. He spent alot of time this last six months outside, but coming inside...

Can someone help me? Wanted to know if this is safe to build an outdoor enclosure for my Russian tortoise with this wood. It is stained.

    Tortoise pee

So my newishly adopted Russian, Roswell, is like a whole new man. Way more active. More coordinated, voracious appetite. Eyes are lovely. But now here is my question…. How much should a tortoise pee? My bf found this that had leaked out the corner of his table. Looks like a lot of pee to me...

After soaking, he basks for a minute or two and then heads for his bowl and waits for me to fill it up and then goes...

    New to the game

He is getting a new table that is much larger, presently being built and I have researched plants that aren't toxic and plan to use a reptisoil base with the cypress mulch topper, this way I can plant some plants in his new enclosure. I've read that they don't love change so I was thinking of...

    New to the game

I adopted a Russian from my niece. She has had him for 8 years. I determined he is a mature Male. He has a turtle table. He was pretty sluggish with swollen eyes when I first brought him home. Today he is active, enjoyed his soaks, his eyes are now open….he is curious and interactive. His...
