So, I have a Russian Tortoise that was given to me by a couple that no longer could care for him. I'm not exactly sure how old he is, but they said they had him for about 3 years now.
My question is, can I buy another RT and put him/her in with Niko? Does it have to be a certain size/age...
Thanks Maggie - I only decided to go with the sand because it was cheap and was recommended on a few different websites when I did my research. I had the coir mix in his smaller enclosure. Do you know if any stores online sell the coir for cheap or in bulk?

For the bulbs I'm using a Exo Terra Repti Glo 10.0 and Zoo Med 100 watts basking spot lamp. Is this good enough?
